One week prior the procedure
1. The following medications and foods can cause an increased likelihood of bleeding: Steroids, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, ibuprofen, or any medicines containing aspirin or ibuprofen (ie. Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Excedrin, Midol). Foods and herbal supplements containing garlic, ginger, ginkgo, Feverfew, St John’s Wort, dong quai, pure licorine, fish oil, Glucosamine or Vitamin E (found in all multi-vitamins). Avoid drinking red wine or alcoholic beverages. PLEASE NOTE: Do Not Stop/Start any medications without consulting with your physician beforehand.
2. Nicotine must be avoided for two weeks prior to the procedure and two weeks after your procedure.
3. If you are taking any medications that have been prescribed, please review these with your physician.
Healing Process
The Tegaderm a sterile, breathable, waterproof, germ-proof barrier will protect your tattoo from infection, abrasion, irritation, and contamination while it is going through the most important part of its healing. It will also protect your clothes, sheets, and loved ones from coming in contact with the excess ink, blood, and fluid that are the normal by-products of healing a tattoo.

Care following the procedure
1. FOLLOW-UP: A second procedure is best and necessary post 4-8 weeks to ensure perfection and longevity of definition and color.
2. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Do not peel or scratch off any flaking in the tattooed area. No vigorous exercise for the first 24 hours as it may cause swelling.
